Wait List

The trail to Terrace Pond lies within the scenic Bearfort Mountain Natural Area in northern New Jersey. Our five-mile hike will take us through wild rhododendron and mountain laurel groves and up to a jagged point with a spectacular view of the surrounding hemlock, beech and maple forests. A long lunch break will allow us a few additional activities.

During the warm summer months, a short swim will take you across the pond. Those seeking more adventure can climb to the top of the overhanging terrace and leap into the deep waters for the swim back to meet the others.
