Tennis Lessons

Learn to play tennis in a fun outdoor environment

Tennis lessons are a great way to exercise, socialize, network and have a great time learning a new skill. It’s never too late to learn. Regardless if it is your first time or you have had some experience, you are sure to enjoy fun, instructional play while learning the basics or advanced play. People of all physical shape levels are welcome.

The Sessions

The price is based on a single one-hour class.  To get a series of classes, you can purchase a session and save money.  Each session will include eight one-hour classes. The classes will be limited to four people, to give everyone ample amount of learning and playing time.  You may upgrade from a single class to a session at anytime.  Classes will be organized according to your skill level, so your fellow tennis classmates will be at a similar tennis level as you. After you register for your session, our tennis coach will speak with you and determine your level of play and the best time for your lesson.

You will learn the fundamentals, strategies, drills and meet wonderful people with the same goal in mind: improving their tennis game. You will have a blast learning and practicing your tennis skills weekly in a friendly, exciting environment.

You will learn all the strokes used in tennis, and will be able to skillfully hit the following shots: forehand, backhand, serve, volley, lob, dropshot and overhead. You will learn these shots in a progressive fashion by doing challenging drills and exercises. After each one-hour class has finished, you will spend 10-15 minutes reviewing what was learned and how to keep improving using helpful practice assignments.

You may also sign up for a half-session of four lessons for $200. If you later choose to upgrade to a full eight lessons, your payment amount will be applied toward the total of $360.

Why Outdoor Bound?

Experienced, Fun & Qualified Guides

From cycling across the United States to leading horse treks through New Zealand to scaling Nepalese peaks, Outdoor Bound guides have real-world outdoor experience. Collectively, they have hiked, biked, climbed and kayaked tens of thousands of miles around the globe.

Whether their professional backgrounds are as teachers, personal trainers, artists, environmentalists or business leaders, they all have an extensive knowledge of the natural world and local history. Each guide has also passed a rigorous guide certification program and is trained in wilderness first aid or as a Wilderness First Responder.

Diverse & Interesting Groups

There is no typical Outdoor Bound participant. While ages typically range from 20 to 50, those who come to experience outdoor adventure range from singles to couples, from lawyers to waiters. They are a mix of women and men. While the group is always diverse, you will certainly feel welcome. Our guides go the extra mile to make the atmosphere of each trip social and fun. Many people in the Outdoor Bound community have forged lasting friendships as a result of our trips.

New Experiences

Skydiving, ice-climbing, hot-air ballooning, skiing and hiking every weekend are just a few of Outdoor Bound’s year-round adventures. These trips are accessible to everyone, including the novice, who might feel a little uneasy, the young urban professional trying to get away and even the adrenaline junkie looking for a new rush.

Environmental Awareness

“Leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but pictures,” is the Leave No Trace motto embraced by Outdoor Bound. From purchasing bamboo T-shirts to printing with soy-based inks on recycled paper, Outdoor Bound strives to create the least environmental impact possible while on trips and in the office.

Testimonials

Thanks so much! I had a really great time! Much better than when I first did any type of rappelling years ago. The trip was very well organized and well planned. It was a fantastic day, some great exercise, a great environment and just reminded me of what I used to do as a kid. Loved it all. — Alan
