Horseback, Wine Tasting & Apple Picking
Giddy Up!
Join Outdoor Bound for a day of western riding and wine tasting! We start with a lovely drive upstate to well-kept stables and meet our four-legged friends for the day. We will saddle up, then ride for two-hours through 32 acres of fields and woods with an experienced wrangler or two. All skill levels welcome; cantering is allowed! You will enjoy lush woodland scenery and plenty of fresh air.
Next, we’ll drive to a beautiful vineyard for a wine tasting and lunch. Live acoustic music will be our backup as we tour the grounds and facility, have lunch and enjoy a tasting. In fall, pick apples and pears if you like or just relax and enjoy the afternoon.
Food available for purchase at the cafe — run by a CIA-trained chef! Or bring your own lunch. You may also pick apples from the orchard ($20 for a bag—can hold 22 pounds of apples, and bags may be shared).
Event details
- Depart: 8:45 AM sharp. Arrive at 8:30 AM for check in!
- Return: ~6:00 PM
- Depart/Return Location: Corner of 73rd Street and Broadway, in front of Apple Bank. (1,2,3 to 72nd Street)
- Wear: Pants/jeans for riding and boots or athletic shoes.
- Bring: Snacks, water, money for lunch (or bring your lunch).
