Horseback & Art Gallery

Ride, Lunch and Gallery!

We start with a lovely drive upstate to well-kept stables and meet our four-legged friends for the day. We will saddle up, then ride for one hour through snowy fields and woods with an experienced wrangler or two. All skill levels are welcome; cantering is allowed!

Next, a 30-minute drive to Dia:Beacon for lunch, take in the lovely grounds, and tour the famous contemporary art collections.

Situated on the Hudson River, the 240,000 sq-ft. galleries are flooded with natural light and showcase vast works of some major artists of the past century. They have a stellar Warhol collection and many large-scale sculptures.

Testimonials

The Canopus Lake hike was beyond unbelievable. The exercise was wonderful and the views were breathtaking. Great hike for moderately fit first timers. This was my first hike and it was the perfect way to get into it. — Jane
