Diamond Mountain Hike
Scenic trail in Harriman State Park
Harriman State Park boasts over 46,000 acres of pristine forest land with over 200 miles of hiking trails, and today we will take you on one of our favorites
A moderate hike to the top of beautiful Diamond Mountain with a long lunch break at Pine Meadow lake. Pine Meadow is just one of 31 lakes contained within the boundaries of Harriman State Park, with a large flat peninsula on the edge of the lake we can sit and relax while enjoying our lunch. We may see a flock of Canadian Geese or the occasional White Tail deer grazing as we hike. Along the way we will cross wooden bridges spanning beautiful flowing creeks and hike alongside of roaring Stony Brook.
