What Are the Benefits of Snowshoeing and Skiing?
Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are great workouts. At moderate speeds, you will burn between 400 – 500 calories per hour. It tones your entire body while providing an excellent cardiovascular workout. It strengthens leg and heart muscles and improves delivery of oxygen to all muscles.
Snowshoeing is a great way to stay healthy during the winter! Snowshoes are highly maneuverable, allowing you to go places where cross-country skiers and snowmobilers cannot go. You can easily travel through thickly-wooded and/or steep terrain. When you explore the woods via snowshoes, you will experience the astounding quiet and serenity of a snow-covered landscape.
