Tennis Lessons
Learn to play tennis in a fun outdoor environment
Tennis lessons are a great way to exercise, socialize, network and have a great time learning a new skill. It’s never too late to learn. Regardless if it is your first time or you have had some experience, you are sure to enjoy fun, instructional play while learning the basics or advanced play. People of all physical shape levels are welcome.
The Sessions
There will be three sessions of tennis lessons, starting every Saturday and Sunday beginning on April 25 and 26, 2009. Each session will include eight one-hour classes. The one-hour classes will be limited to 4 people, to give everyone ample amount of learning and playing time. Classes will be organized according to your skill level, so your fellow tennis classmates will be at a similar tennis level as you. After you register for your session, our tennis coach will speak with you and determine your level of play and the best time for your lesson.
You will learn the fundamentals, strategies, drills and meet wonderful people with the same goal in mind: improving their tennis game. You will have a blast learning and practicing your tennis skills weekly in a friendly, exciting environment.
You will learn all the strokes used in tennis, and will be able to skillfully hit the following shots: forehand, backhand, serve, volley, lob, dropshot and overhead. You will learn these shots in a progressive fashion by doing challenging drills and exercises. After each one-hour class has finished, you will spend 10-15 minutes reviewing what was learned and how to keep improving using helpful practice assignments. These fun practice sessions will also help elevate your tennis learning index.
Sign up for one, two or all three sessions. You are sure to impress yourself and others what you have learned. Session dates are as follows (the instructor will contact you to schedule your exact days and times):
- Session 1: Eight lessons: April 25 or 26 — June 13 or 14, times available from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM

New Experiences
Skydiving, ice-climbing, hot-air ballooning, skiing and hiking every weekend are just a few of Outdoor Bound’s year-round adventures. These trips are accessible to everyone, including the novice, who might feel a little uneasy, the young urban professional trying to get away and even the adrenaline junkie looking for a new rush.
Environmental Awareness
“Leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but pictures,” is the Leave No Trace motto embraced by Outdoor Bound. From purchasing bamboo T-shirts to printing with soy-based inks on recycled paper, Outdoor Bound strives to create the least environmental impact possible while on trips and in the office.
