To immerse travelers in the adventure experience, Outdoor Bound offers overnight trips, ranging from horseback, kayaking, caving, hiking and rock climbing to whitewater rafting, yoga, cycling, cross-country skiing and more. Many of trips are not only multi-day, but are also multi-sport and offer several of these activities all rolled into one trip.

On our multi-day expeditions, your accommodations will always be unique and vary depending on which trip you choose. Travel to West Virginia and sleep in a mountainside cabin, equipped with a hot tub, nestled amongst the trees. Or perhaps you prefer hiking far from civilization and spending the night camped under a canopy of stars. Either way, our guides will provide everything you need — technical equipment, background knowledge and tasty meals — in order to ensure that your trip runs smoothly from start to finish.

White Mountain Memorial Weekend Expedition

Celebrate Memorial Day weekend with us in the backwoods: lodges, huts, summits, and the cog railway excursion in New Hampshire’s rugged White Mountains. This weekend we will hike through an old growth boreal forest, past stunning waterfalls and bogs, skip along high-alpine summits of the Presidential Range and rest our heads at two of the newest lodges in the legendary White Mountains Hut System. Finally, we will celebrate Memorial Day aboard the historic cog railway to the summit of Mount Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast.

The Region

This trip navigates the beginning of the Presidential Range Traverse, famed for its massive peaks, testing terrain and impressive views. The White Mountain National Forest covers the majority of New Hampshire, and is home to 48 peaks over 4,000 feet, five National Wilderness Areas and limitless inspiring adventures. Peaks include Mount Clinton, Mount Pierce, Mount Eisenhower and Mount Jefferson.
